The Indian rupee sign is the official currency symbol of India, adopted in 2010. It combines the Devanagari letter र (ra) with a horizontal stroke.
Used for amounts in Indian rupees: ₹500. On Windows with the English (India) keyboard, Ctrl+Alt+4 types it.
